FullSizeRender (2)April is one of the Coordinator’s of LeadHer Local St. Tammany. She is a mom, a wife, a LeadHer Coordinator, and a servant leader who has a passion for connecting the women of all ages in her community to their God-given purpose. Here’s her story in her own words.

“Through LeadHer and the ladies of LeadHer I realized that there was more to life and I was tired of sitting on the sidelines, tired of just “doing life”.  I knew God had more for me and through LeadHer, I found that calling.  I realized that I was called to Women’s Ministry.

I have been a LeadHer Local Coordinator for a little over a year.  Our current coordinator was stepping away from a leadership role and asked me if I would be interested in stepping up. I told her I would pray about it. I did and definitely felt that this was what God was calling me to do. I love our monthly meetings.  I love sharing & growing with these ladies.  I love seeing how God is changing lives.

I have personally been stretched and challenged within myself.  God has definitely pulled me out of my comfort zone and is helping me overcome my fears.  He is showing me who I am in Him. The ladies in my chapter have been an amazing source of inspiration and encouragement!  I am so honored to be doing this ministry with them.

LeadHer has affected every area of my life, including my relationships at home. After the 2014 LeaHer Bootcamp teachings on Spiritual Warfare and Responses vs. Reactions, I was struggling with my preteen son.  One day as we were arguing, the Holy Spirit just came over me and gave me wisdom. I told him that we were in a spiritual battle and the devil was after his soul.  I told him that I would not stop fighting. That with God’s help, I would fight longer and harder than the devil and I would win. It made an impact on both of us and completely changed the atmosphere of the argument and is continuing to impact my perspective.

If I could share some advice for any woman out there who may be struggling with finding her identity, her purpose, or her worth, I would tell her, find your security and self-worth in Jesus!  You are a daughter of the King, a princess!  Live in that!  God has a purpose for your life and He WILL give you ALL you need to do that job.  Living out your purpose is worth whatever it cost!!!”
